Hello Takahiro,

Thanks so very much for answering my inquiry about Bitvisor and now I
have a bit better understanding as to its available support and how it
is really more of a research project that various developers use as a a
base to build from for their own projects.

I am a very long ways from any possible product and for now its more of
a goal just to see if I can get a simple PoC (Proof-of-Concept) set up
and working and it may not even make it to any type of product at all so
now is more of a research project as well for me too.

My biggest concern at the moment seems to be with what I think might be
issues with the Wireguard implementation as I do not know how to tackle
that problem yet in that it still seems to crash the moment a web
browser (Ubuntu 22.04) is started up but I can easily ping locations
after the Guest OS comes up as well, but without Wireguard running and
having Bitvisor running, then I do not have these problems.

I was also hoping that someone might be able to guide me in using the
IPsec VPN to set up a SoftEther connection either to my SoftEther server
or to VPN Gate so that I could test if, in fact, it is Wireguard or
something else perhaps since I am not 100% sure on this yet.

You mentioned that Mr. Eiraku has a company that sells a product based
upon Bitvisor and maybe that would be a good idea to look into that as
well, but I doubt that it is open source code to expand upon, but maybe
it could be good to look into that also and I will see what I can find
out. Thanks for that information, my friend.

Not sure what your interests are with regards to Bitvisor, but it would
be nice to be able to discuss these things and some ideas with others,
perhaps like yourself, to see if we can get more interest and community
involvement in Bitvisor and development of projects based upon it as the
code base.

I am currently reading over the code a lot now and am trying to get a
feel for things better, but it is still a bit of a learning curve so
far, but am making good progress.  One thing that I am interested in
doing as well is to possibly create loadable plugins for a number of the
modules instead of having them put in a compile time, then I think that
they could be added at load time instead although not during run time
given the UEFI nature of things from what I understand so far.

Anyway, I want to sincerely Thank you for your response and maybe we can
chat more if you are interested.

Best Regards, and have a great day,
Lonnie

The main developer, Mr. Eiraku, often answers questions and will be happy to participate in discussions related to the essential parts of BitVisor. However, I think it is difficult to keep doing the support of using BitVisor on a volunteer basis. So basically we would have to make an effort to read and write the source code ourselves to solve the problem.

I did not want to take up all of his time in answering my questions and receiving what I think is a bug in the Wireguard code that crashes out Bitvisor, but it seems that he is the only one that is active on the mailing lists and I want to try to get an idea as to how active these list are so that I will not post many questions if everyone is too busy or there are not a lot of users.
