In general, the files must be in an EFI system partition that is usually the first partition (hd0,gpt1) and mounted at /boot/efi in Linux. Only FAT partitions are accessible by loadvmm.efi unless additional file system drivers for UEFI is installed. The --force option for chainloader command is not needed. The 8000000000000003 is an error code of UEFI. According to edk/Foundation/Efi/Include/EfiError.h the error is EFI_UNSUPPORTED.
