Hi, dear Mr. Hideki EIRAKU,

Why does not our bitviosr 1.3 support TPM?

When I want to develop an application to make use of TPM which is
located in guest OS running on the bitvisor 1.3, I clean and activate the
TPM in the BIOS options. So after the guest OS boots up, the application
invokes a command: tpm_takeownership to initialize the owner password and
storage root key of TPM, but it returns an error code which indicates that
the TPM has already been deactivated, then I restart the computer and find
that the TPM has been disabled in the BIOS options.

I don't know the reason, because I've enabled TPM in the bios options.
Besides, when there is no bitvisor existing and the guest OS is running
directly on the hardware, again, the application invokes the command:
tpm_takeownership. At this time, the command executes successfully.

It's so weird, since other commands such as tpm_pcr_read and tpm_pcr_extend
are running well both in guest OS with bitvisor and guest OS without
bitvisor.

Has the bitvisor made any special modifications to enable the application
user to make use of TPM?

Pls give me some advice, thanks !

Best Regards,

henry
